Hello to all who are already following my blog. I am busy this week making the last preparations for my trip and am looking forward to starting this next chapter. I fly out of DC on January 4 into Costa Rica and will be there for a month learning as much Spanish as I possibly can. I'll be off for Panama in early February, then on to Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize, Guatemala, and El Salvador in that order (you see I have saved the biggest adventure for last) ;)
For the next few days, you all don't object to being my guinea pigs as I experiment and figure out how this thing works.
I took the above picture while driving through the mountains of West Virginia last week on my way to be with family for the holiday. It was right after the blizzard, so they had several feet of snow, more than I have seen in years.
Happy New Year!

Karen...best of luck and safe travels. As a language teacher and Spanish speaker I am very anxious to hear about how you will be learning Spanish and would love to read some reflections about that.
ReplyDeleteLet me know when you get to Nicaragua. I was there for 2 weeks in 2008 so I can give you a few tips.
