Last Stop in NIcaragua

I'm in the coffee capitol of Nicaragua, Matagalpa.  It's up in the mountains, so I'm being treated to a break from the heat of the Pacific coast.  Unfortunately, it's too late in the season to get a tour of a coffee plantation, but I am making up for it somewhat by sitting in a chic new cafe drinking a second cappuccino and eating what they call "typical" breafast of egg, fried plantains, beans and cheese.  Matagalpa is a neighbor to the cheese producing town of Esteli, so between the cheese and the coffee I've discovered my own personal slice of heaven here in northern Nicaragua.

Tomorrow, if all goes well, I'll be crossing the border into Honduras and stopping in Danli for a tour of a cigar factory.

I still owe you a few posts about my time in Nicaragua, particularly on Leon and Granada.  I posted a few pictures of Granada in the previous post to give you an idea what I gotup to there.
